I highly recommend hitting Plato's Closet, if you have one in your area, for jeans. I can get a really good & expensive pair of jeans for about twenty bucks there.

I am really bummed that the straight and tapered pant is back in. I thought everyone got the lecture that these make your rear look larger than life? I don't know if I can go back to those kinds of jeans :)

Lucky is another good "hip" brand. I paid $80 for mine (yes, in a sheer moment of losing my mind, this frugal princess did that).

I have seen Lucky brand jeans in Sams & Costco for $19 before...that is a good deal when you compare it to $80-100.

Seven for all mankind is my favorite though.
